The member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Prince Aniefiok Attah has firmly countered suggestions that he has not performed during his first two years in office.

Addressing a press briefing at his constituency office in Odot, Nsit Atai local government area on Friday, June 19, 2025, Attah outlined a series of accomplishments.
He stated that he facilitated the recruitment of several constituents into the Nigerian Army, providing them with a transport allowance totaling about six hundred thousand Naira. He also disclosed providing an 11 Million Naira Business Grant to women's cooperative societies within his constituency, confirming that half of this amount has already been disbursed.
Attah, who chairs the House Committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human Rights and Public Petitions, said he has facilitated the employment of two of his constituents into the state civil service and civil defense.
Detailing his legislative record, Attah highlighted sponsoring two significant motions to include; advocating for the Creation of Additional High Courts to reduce congestion and ensure timely justice delivery, and for the establishment of a Customary Courts of Appeal to handle appeals and lessen the workload of magistrates and High Courts. He also noted co-sponsoring 10 bills, some of which have received gubernatorial assent.
Attah said his committee has screened two sets of commissioners and special advisers for appointment into the state executive council and successfully resolved over 80 petitions, including high-profile cases.
On constituency projects, Attah mentioned grading the previously abandoned and impassable Ikot UbokUdom - Ikot Nkpene Road and added that he consistently provide constituents with educational support for students, and grants for law school.
He used the occasion to commend the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Udeme Otong, for his leadership of the 8th Assembly and debunked rumours that members were paid money to follow the Governor to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Addressing his recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, Attah, surrounded by his campaign Director-General, Hon Iniobong Sunday explained his move was to join the state Governor, Umo Eno, in aligning the state with the federal government and cited benefits like the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project and appointments of Akwa Ibom indigenes into federal establishments as reasons for supporting his alignment.
He urged his constituents to unite and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno.
