Rep. Odudoh Empowers 100 Constituents with N1m Each, Highlights 2-Year Achievements Touching Every Clan

The Member representing Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uduak Odudoh, will empower 100 constituents with N1 million each, part of a major programme taking place today, Friday, June 27, in Ikot Abasi.
Odudoh disclosed this during the presentation of his midterm scorecard to newsmen in Uyo on Thursday June 26, highlighting a significant legislative and developmental record within his first two years in the House of Representatives.
He emphasized sponsoring 8 bills and 9 motions, alongside numerous projects ensuring "every part of the Constituency is carried along," with no political clan excluded from facilitated projects.
Detailing his interventions, Odudoh listed substantial projects across key sectors. In education, these include renovations at Ibiaku Clan Community Secondary School, Ikot Ebak; Regina Coeli College, Essene; and a comprehensive upgrade at Comprehensive Secondary School, Ikot Ubo Akama featuring a 300-capacity hall, lab, ICT centre, solar borehole, and 30KVA power supply. Further projects encompass classroom construction at Migrant Secondary School, Emere-Oke Kingdom; renovation at Methodist Secondary School, Ete; distribution of JAMB forms to 300 candidates; and scholarships for 300 indigent tertiary students.
Healthcare achievements featured prominently, notably two editions of Free Medical Outreach (2024 & 2025) delivering successful surgeries, 2500 outpatient consultations, 2000 glasses distributed, plus dental and subspecialty surgeries. Infrastructure upgrades involved renovating Doctors' quarters and drilling a solar-powered borehole at Essene Health Centre; installing solar street lights at Ikot Abasi General Hospital; and distributing hospital equipment across the three LGAs. Sensitisation programs on hygiene in schools included free distribution of toothpastes, brushes, sanitary towels, and exercise books.
Extensive rural development focused on solar-powered solutions. Projects include constructed solar boreholes in Ikot Unya, Eka Nung Ukim, Idoro, Atan-Ikpe, and ongoing projects in Ukam, Ikot Atagha, and Ute/Ikot Udua-ikpong. Significant solar-powered streetlight installations cover numerous communities across Emereoke, Iko Nta, Obianga (Eastern Obolo); Ikot Ekong, Ekefre Street, Udia-Umo Street, Ibiaku-Esa Ekpo (Mkpat Enin); and Essene Town, Ikot Ndibio, Owok Eseada, Ikot Imo, Nduk, Ikot Akpan Enin, Ata-Udo Usung (Ikot Abasi).
The federal lawmaker also facilitated projects in human capital development, agriculture, humanitarian services, and entrepreneurship.
Looking ahead, Hon. Odudoh disclosed that over 500 constituents benefited from today's empowerment programme. Packages included the N1 million cash grants to 100 business owners, alongside N500,000 grants, scholarship awards, mini buses, heavy-duty tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, salon dryers, make-up boxes, and other significant support items.
