Members of Akwa Ibom Business Community have appealed to Governor Umo Eno to appoint one of them into his new cabinet in order to help drive his Arise Agenda.  

Speaking During a press conference in Uyo on Saturday, January 11, President of the Akwa Ibom Business Community, Mr. Lordswill Umani said his members are well-acquainted with the unique challenges facing the business sector in the state and are prepared to support the present administration.  

Umani who was flanked by members of the executive, dispell rumours of the Governor neglecting business community where he previously served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) and stressed that the governor has consistently kept his promises and remains committed to supporting the community.

 "This press conference is to state the fact that our leader, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno is a promise keeper who honour his words to the community".  

He encouraged business community members worldwide to maintain their faith in Governor Eno, assuring them that the governor values the Akwa Ibom Business Community and prioritises his primary constituency. 

 "As a community that values our leader, we must continue to pray for the governor as he guides the state in its efforts to promote private sector development.  "We commend our leader for his sterling leadership, and as a community, we will continue to support our governor and resist any attempts by those who wish to undermine the governor's excellent performance," Umani said.  

They promised to resist any attempt to distract the Governor by enemies of progress in the state. 

 "This press conference was born as a child of necessity to clear the air and properly inform our people that our leader is a promise keeper and a great pride of the private sector movement, therefore, any attempt on the Governor by enemies of progress will be resisted by the business community".
