Eunice Thomas celebrates Akpabio's birthday with Abak indigent



... Distributes 550 bags of rice for Christmas 

The Non Executive Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company(NNPC) Dr. Eunice Thomas on Thursday paid a glowing tribute to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio who recently celebrated his 62nd birthday.

Speaking during the celebration at Secondary School, Ikot Oku Mfang in Abak Local Government Area, Dr. Thomas said it very necessary to celebrate God's love in the life of the Senate President whom God has used to affect positively, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria as a whole.

She used the occasion to commend her husband for always being supportive and also thanked the people of Abak for not letting her down when she came to them to canvass for votes in favour of Akpabio during the last election adding that the rewards to be reaped has just begun.

"I want to sincerely thank you for not letting me down..when I came to seek for votes for Akpabio, you didn't disappoint me when I told you to vote him and hold me responsible. Today is a sign of good things to come and be rest assured that I will always be accountable".

Dr. Thomas who assured them that they equally have on their side a loving mother in Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio who stops at nothing to ensure that the women and youths are attended to informed the youths that their numerous request would be given accelerated attention.

On his part, the Chairman Planning Committee of the event, Rt. Hon. Friday Iwok described Dr. Eunice Thomas as a woman of capacity and excellence who stopped at nothing at giving back to her Community and commended her for thinking it necessary to celebrate Godswill Akpabio and also celebrate Christmas with the people of Abak.




While referring to the Senate President as one who believes in investing in human development noted that Akwa Ibom is where it is today because of Akpabio's ingenuity.

"Courtesy of the Senate President, we have our daughter Dr. Eunice Thomas representing us in the NNPC and you have done well coming back home to celebrate with us.

Also speaking, the Chairman on the occasion, Engr. Okon Udoh called on persons in position of authority to emulate Eunice Thomas by always remembering their people while also wishing the Senate President a joyous birthday celebration.

Goodwill messages were also given by the representative of member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika in the House of represe, Hon. Clement Jimbo, Mr. Innocent Idiong, APC Chairman for Abak, Mr. Friday Okon, representative of the Village Head, Youth Caucus, the Abak Chapter Women Leader of APC, representative of the Ibo Community and those of the Physically Challenged.

The event which drew stakeholders from the All Progressive Congress, Community leaders, youths, the Ibo community and even as the physically challenged featured the sharing of about 550 bags of rice across the Wards.
