Bayelsa Guber: PDP Screening Committee Disqualifies Jonathan's Former Commissioner, Okoya

...Fingers point at Gov. Dickson

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) screening committee for Bayelsa governorship aspirants sitting at the Wadata House Headquarters of the party, has disqualified one of the aspirants, Mr. Reuben Okoya.

Okoya was a commissioner under former President, Goodluck Jonathan's tenure as Bayelsa State governor.

The aspirant was disqualified on the grounds that he engaged in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme at the age of 45 years, even when it was established that he graduated from the university before the age of 30 years.

It was, however, alleged that the Bayelsa State governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson might have a hand in the plot to disqualify the aspirant, so that the number of aspirants contesting for the ticket would be  reduced before the  September 3, 2019  party primary.

Recall that Dickson had said that the ticket would not be given to any aspirant that is not a member of the restoration group.
