The Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium and Oku Ibom Ibibio, His Eminence Ntenyin Solomon Etuk CFR, has stressed the importance of grassroots-driven movements in fostering peace, unity, and sustainable development within communities.
He made this known when members of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, led by the President-General, Engr. Uwem Okoko, paid him a courtesy visit in his palace on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
Edidem Etuk advised members to remain committed to the ideals of service and community development, assuring them of the support of traditional rulers and key stakeholders in Nsit Ubium.
He commended the leadership of the initiative for being proactive and engaging with traditional institutions.
Earlier in his remarks, the President-General of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, Engr. Uwem Okoko, informed the Royal Father that the movement was committed to strengthening grassroots mobilization while promoting unity, development, and political inclusiveness across communities.
Speaking during the inauguration of the chapter executives, the Chairman of Nsit Ubium, Hon. Alfred Charles, said Nsit Ubium will stand firm with the Governor because of all the development spread across the area. He also reassured total support for President Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Also speaking, the State Deputy Chairman of the APC, Hon. Aniekan Ekpo, said the party will support those they recommend to the party.
In his goodwill message, the Political Leader of Uyo Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Effiong Bob, stressed that Nsit Ubium will triple their votes for the Governor, adding that the Governor has not disappointed them.
Stakeholders who spoke during the inauguration, including the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Capt. Iniobong Ekong; the member representing Nsit Ubium State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Otobong Bob; and the former Deputy Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniefiok Thompson, reaffirmed their commitment to the re-election of the governor.
