...as Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative Inaugurates coordinating structure 

Members of the Akwa Ibom State community resident in Rivers State have pledged unwavering support for the programmes and policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno, and the leadership of the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio.




The group, speaking through its leaders, also vowed to mobilise massive grassroots support for the re-election of the trio in the next election cycle.

This position was made known on Saturday, April 11, 2026, during the inauguration of the Rivers State Chapter Coordinating Executive of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, held at the Glass House Event Center, Ruomola in Port Harcourt. The initiative is a mass movement designed to galvanize support for the re-election of President Tinubu, Governor Eno, Senate President Akpabio, and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in forthcoming elections.

In separate remarks, Chairman of the Rivers State Chapter and Head of the Advisory Committee, Engr. Albert Asuquo; Co-Chairman of the Advisory Committee, Obong Albert Rufus; State Coordinator, Obong Joseph Nicholas; and President of the Akwa Ibom State Community in Rivers State, Mr. Idorenyin Dickson, reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the momentum of the initiative.

They emphasised the need to deepen grassroots engagement to ensure that the message and objectives of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative resonate widely across the state.

The leaders commended what they described as the positive development trajectory of the APC-led administrations at both federal and state levels, as well as the legislative leadership of the Senate President. They further assured that members are fully prepared to translate their support into action at the polls, noting that they are duly registered and equipped with their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

The Rivers State Executive of the initiative comprises a broad spectrum of members, reflecting its inclusive and grassroots-driven structure. The Advisory Committee is chaired by Engr. Albert Asuquo, with Obong Albert Rufus serving as Co-Chairman, alongside other key stakeholders.

Presiding over the inauguration, the President General of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, Engr. Uwem Okoko, said the presence of the international executive in Rivers State was in line with the mandate of the movement. He commended members of the state chapter for embracing the initiative and urged them to remain committed to its ideals.

Also speaking, the International Coordinator of the movement, Sir Udo Kierian Akpan, explained that the initiative aligns with the aspirations of the people and is aimed at consolidating good governance across all tiers of government.

Goodwill messages were delivered by notable stakeholders, including the Executive Director, Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Sir Victor Antai, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the initiative (represented by an aide), as well as Engr. Effiong Emmanuel, Mr. Nnamse Bassey, and Deaconess Comfort Gibson, among others.

They unanimously expressed support for the re-election of President Tinubu, Governor Eno, Senator Akpabio, and other APC candidates, describing the initiative as a strategic platform for sustained political mobilisation and continuity in governance.
