…as Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative Inaugurates Chapter Executives, Advisory Councils

Indigenes of Etim Ekpo and Abak Local Government Areas have pledged total support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno in the 2027 general elections.
The assurance was given on Thursday, February 19, 2026, during the inauguration of the Chapter Executives and Advisory Councils of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative in the respective local government headquarters. The stakeholders cited ongoing infrastructural and empowerment projects as the basis for their support.
Speaking at the ceremonies, the President General of the Initiative, Engr. Uwem Okoko, commended the leadership and developmental strides of the trio, describing them as adopted consensus candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 elections. He urged members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and participate actively in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration.
Okoko also charged members of the Advisory Councils to provide strategic guidance to the chapters, particularly in the constitution of ward and unit structures to strengthen the Initiative’s grassroots presence.
In his remarks, the International Coordinator, Sir Udo Kierian, called for unity and collective commitment across both local government areas. Goodwill messages from party leaders and stakeholders, including the State APC Woman Leader, Obonganwan Obonodo Uko; DIG Udom Ekpoudom (rtd); Emmanuel Enoidem, SAN; Sir Richard Ebong; Sir Uwem Udoma; and the Commissioner for Information, Aniekan Umanah, reaffirmed support and assured overwhelming votes for the trio.
The Abak Chapter Executive was inaugurated by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Organising Secretary of the Initiative, Mr. Frank Archibong, while the International Women
Director, Mrs. Glory Edet, inaugurated the Advisory Council.
In their acceptance speeches, the Chairman of Etim Ekpo Advisory Council and Council Chairman, Mr. Gideon Uwah, pledged to discharge his responsibilities with diligence. The Chapter Coordinator, Mr. Imayen Adolphus, assured that the team would work tirelessly to mobilise support across the Area.
Similarly, the Abak Chapter Coordinator, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen, expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in his team and assured that the chapter would deliver overwhelming support for the President, the Senate President and the Governor in the 2027 elections.
