The management of Uyo City Polytechnic, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State have announced the commencement of admission into ND and HND programmes for candidates seeking to study in the polytechnic.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Registrar, Mr. Patrick Ekpe, at the weekend.
Mr Ekpe who listed some of the courses offered by the polytechnic, said the school is open for full time and weekends.
Courses and programmes for ND include;
(1)Science Laboratory Technology
(2) Mass Communication
(3) Public Administration
(4) Business Administration
(5) Accountancy
(6) Marketing
(7) Statistics
(8) Electrical/Electronics engineering (Telecom option)
(9) Computer Engineering
(10)Computer Science.
Courses and programmes for HND include;
(1) Mass Communication
(2) Public Administration
(3) Business Administration
(4) Accountancy
(5) Marketing
(6) Statistics
(7) Electrical/Electronics engineering (Telecom option)
(8) Computer Engineering
(9)Computer Science
The statement indicates that forms can be obtained from the office of the Registrar.
Meanwhile, a new management has taken over the administration of the polytechnic with Dr. Emmanuel Ekott as Chairman of Governing Council, Ms. Iboro Idem as the new Rector and Mr. Patrick Ekpe as Registrar.
Dr Ekott who was appointed recently by the Proprietor of the polytechnic is a seasoned administrator and a polytechnic catalyst, who has distinguished himself in the area of polytechnic education in the country.
He is the proprietor of Heritage Polytechnic, Eket, Akwa Ibom State, one of best and biggest private polytechnics in Nigeria.
The new management were given clear mandate to obtain accreditation for all courses at the Polytechnic within the next six months.
